Day 6
Subject: Time to make your first sale, [firstname]

Hi [firstname],

OK, so you've got your mailing list organized, got your free giveaway, and you're driving traffic to your squeeze page. Now you need to prepare your first paid-for product and get it ready for sale.

The first product you offer your list should be low-priced but deliver overwhelming value. E-books are good for this because you can build on the success of your free report (if that's what you gave away).

Think about it for a moment

If someone has got a report from you for free, and it was well written and researched, and now you're offering them something even longer and more in-depth but for a very low price, they're more likely to make a purchase than they would be if you were trying to sell them something cold.

That's the whole point of a sales funnel: Building trust and delivering value.

Just as with your report you can write it yourself, outsource it to a ghost-writer, or rework PLR. You can use the resources I described the other day, too, but really delve deep and cover the subject in much more detail than before. Use more than one source. If you're going to rework PLR, make sure it's not something people can get for free elsewhere.

Price it relatively low. Don't make it so cheap that people won't think it's any good, but have it low enough that buying it is a no-brainer.

Make your sales copy persuasive, and your payment and delivery process hassle free. Remember: You're getting people to part with cash now, so you must provide overwhelming value for money. Don't look to make much of a profit at this stage; profits will come later in the funnel.

Move customers over to your customer list, so you can start to send them details of your more expensive offers things they wouldn't have been interested in before.

Warmly,

[Your Name]
